Unpack your kitchen, clothes, books and household belongings
The agreed work covers opening your moving boxes and placing their contents where you want them. Tell us which cupboards, shelves or rooms each group belongs in. Prioritise the kitchen or bedrooms if you want those spaces usable first. You remain in control of where everything goes.
Get an unpacking price without counting every box
Choose the property type and room count of the home you have moved into for a suggested unpacking package. If you know the number of boxes, use the box-count option instead. The home-size package shows the box quantity it covers; tell us about unusually full homes or mostly fragile belongings.
Unpacking is separate from furniture assembly
House move unpacking opens moving boxes of belongings. Furniture assembly builds beds, wardrobes, desks and other furniture. Select both if you need furniture ready before its cupboards and shelves are filled, or choose unpacking alone if the furniture is already in place.
After a move you have already arranged
You can request unpacking regardless of who transported your belongings. Tell us where your moving boxes are and where you want the contents placed. If storage furniture needs building, assembly can be added to the request. Include your preferred date and any access information; we contact you to agree the visit before confirming the booking.
What the unpacking service covers
Unpacking and placing belongings are included in the agreed work. Cleaning, waste removal and packaging disposal are outside this service. Unpacking on its own does not add a packing-materials purchase. Tell us about specialist or particularly valuable items before booking.
Combine packing before your move and unpacking afterwards
Select both services if you would like help before and after moving day. Include both addresses and the dates you have in mind, so the two visits can be planned and agreed together.

Can I book house move unpacking on its own?
Yes. Select unpacking without assembly or packing. You do not need to book transport with HandyTackle.
What if I do not know how many boxes I have?
Use the property-size option instead. Select your new home type and room count to see the package quantity and price.
Will you put things away as well as open boxes?
Yes. We place household belongings in the rooms, cupboards and shelves you choose as part of the agreed unpacking work.
Can I prioritise the kitchen or bedrooms?
Yes. Put your priorities in the job notes and show us where the belongings should go.
Is unpacking the same as building furniture?
No. Unpacking deals with the contents of moving boxes. Furniture assembly is a separate optional service.
Is cleaning or disposal of empty packaging included?
No. Arrange cleaning, waste removal and packaging disposal separately.
