Bed, wardrobe, desk and bookcase assembly
Choose from grouped furniture lists covering bed frames and storage beds, wardrobes, chests of drawers, bedside tables, desks, bookcases, TV units, shelving, dining furniture and suitable garden furniture. Different sizes sit together so you can find the right item without choosing a room first.
IKEA, Argos, Wayfair and other flat pack furniture
Include the retailer, furniture model and size when requesting your visit. IKEA PAX wardrobes and other modular systems can have extra frames, doors, drawers and fittings, so describe the complete layout. For furniture from Argos, Wayfair, Next, Dunelm or another retailer, match the item to the list and add model details. Unlisted or unusual construction needs an individual review.
An assembly price for the work you choose
Select assembly, open the furniture bundle and add your quantities. The price breakdown shows the selected work and any separately requested materials. If you also need furniture dismantled or moving boxes unpacked, add those services to the same request. Tell us about separate addresses or visits so the full job can be agreed.
Agreeing the practical details
Tell us the furniture model, where it will be built and about any missing or damaged parts. We’ll agree access and the space needed for assembly with you; you do not need to clear the whole room before requesting help. Wall mounting, built-in cabinetry, plumbing and electrical installation are outside the standard furniture assembly service.
Getting ready for a house move?
Assembly builds your furniture; house move unpacking opens moving boxes and puts household belongings where you choose. You can book either service on its own or combine them. Furniture disassembly is available if you need suitable pieces taken apart before transport.

Can I book assembly for just one item?
Yes. Select the item, size and quantity in the Handy Engine. You can request one piece or several items together.
Can you help with IKEA PAX wardrobe assembly?
Include the full PAX configuration, including frames, doors, drawers and internal fittings. Modular systems need enough detail to confirm the work; a basic wardrobe selection may not describe the whole installation.
How much does flat pack assembly cost?
The Handy Engine shows a price for your selected furniture and quantities. Review the itemised breakdown before requesting your booking. Unlisted furniture or extra installation work needs an individual price.
Do I need to choose a room for my furniture?
No. Assembly and disassembly use furniture bundles rather than room lists. Open the bundle and find the size you need.
Can I combine furniture assembly and unpacking?
Yes. Add house move unpacking to help open moving boxes and place household belongings once the furniture is ready. Different addresses or dates should be included in your notes.
